1. Overview
PhotoTend helps you review still photos in your Apple Photos library by month. The app is designed to work on your iPhone without creating a PhotoTend account or uploading your photo library to a developer-operated server.
As of version 1.0, PhotoTend does not upload your photos or videos, sell or share personal information, contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, or track you across apps or websites.
2. Photo Library Access
PhotoTend requests read and write access to your Apple Photos library to show the still photos you allow the app to access, group accessible photos by month, display a selected photo for review, keep review decisions on the device, and ask Apple Photos to move only the photos you explicitly confirm to Recently Deleted.
You can grant Full Access or Limited Access through Apple's permission controls. When you grant Limited Access, PhotoTend can work only with the photos you select. You can change photo access at any time in iOS Settings. PhotoTend does not include videos in its review flow.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
To restore an unfinished review, PhotoTend stores app data locally on your iPhone. This may include Apple Photos local asset identifiers for the active review, the month being reviewed, keep, favorite, and pending-deletion decisions, undo and progress state, and aggregate development event counts that do not contain photo identifiers or photo content.
This information is used only to operate the app and is not transmitted to PhotoTend or the operator. App-local favorites do not change the Favorite status of the original item in Apple Photos.
4. Deletion and Apple Photos
Marking a photo for deletion inside PhotoTend does not immediately change your Photos library. Before any request is sent to Apple Photos, PhotoTend shows the exact pending selection for review and asks for confirmation. Apple then presents its own system confirmation.
Approved items are moved through Apple's Recently Deleted workflow. They are not claimed to be permanently erased by PhotoTend, and storage may not be released immediately. Apple Photos normally allows items in Recently Deleted to be recovered for 30 days.
If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may synchronize photo-library changes across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. PhotoTend does not access your Apple Account credentials or operate the iCloud Photos service.
5. Network Services and Third Parties
Version 1.0 contains no developer-operated backend, advertising network, third-party analytics service, or photo-upload service. Requests needed to retrieve an iCloud-stored photo are handled by Apple's Photos framework under your Apple Account and system settings.
Apple may separately process information when you use the App Store, iCloud Photos, device diagnostics, or other Apple services. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
6. Retention and Your Choices
PhotoTend keeps its local review state until it is replaced, cleared by the app's normal workflow, or removed when you delete the app. Deleting PhotoTend removes its app-local data according to iOS behavior, but it does not undo changes already approved in Apple Photos.
You can change or revoke Photo Library access in iOS Settings, review and revise pending deletions before confirmation, cancel without changing Apple Photos, and recover eligible items using Apple Photos > Recently Deleted.
Because PhotoTend does not operate user accounts or collect app data on a developer server, there is no server-side PhotoTend account or uploaded photo library to delete.
7. Children
PhotoTend is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If PhotoTend's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before the changed practices are released where required. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
