Honesty is always the best policy. Tell your client what happened, apologize, and give to pay for them. If you actually look like your avatar, he'll most possible say forget it, all is forgiven. You can show him that you got modern lights for him. If he won't take them, you can return them to the store.
Honesty impresses the **** out of people now.
Doesn't matter whether or not you suspect he knows who broke the light, you know and you also know that you should come forward and bear responsibility for breaking it. Accidents happen, so just knock on his door and come clean, it could thoroughly well be the start of a neighborly friendship.
If you think there is any reason for him to know it be you, then you better tell him, apologize sincerely, say it be an accident, but don't EVER try to give him something different than what you broke, he might get touchy!! plus if he had the one you broke that means thats what he liked and looked-for, so get him the same! You dont want him to have a desperate impression of you, once trust is lost, it will never be completely recovered and noone wants that type of reputation....good luck!! Source(s): If you are not sure, but still own a small doubt he might know it was you...then just TELL HIM!! better past the worst than sorry!!
