Ok heres the question ive get and im rather stumpe; Assuming that the solar radiation at the surface of the top soil could potentially supply 820w m-2, calculate the nouns of a solar cell that would be required to power the 60.0W light bulb? any accepted wisdom
There is an unsaid assumption here. It seems to be assumed that the panel have 100% efficiency, which is far from correct.
Is it not simple arthmetic?
The panel size is 1/820 m^2/W. For 60W it is 60/820 m^2, or
3/41 m^2.
