A solar eclipse can appropriate place solely during one moon phase. Which phase is it?

Answers:    A solar eclipse can only ensue at the time of a new moon, as this is the phase the moon is contained by when it lies directly between the sun and the earth. Even afterwards, the moon must be located on (or very fundamental to) the plane of the earth's orbit around the sun, which is referred to as the ecliptic. This is the reason that solar eclipse do not occur every month at every brand new moon.
