Commercial solar photovoltaic panel are sophisticated engineering projects built by complex processes using costly materials. It is far more economical to buy commercial panels than to try to be paid them yourself.
If you really want to try, the best bet is to cut a back panel out of 16 compute sheet aluminum, and bond a sheet of 3/8 inch acrylic plastic to that.
