There are no effects on human life, bar to get us adjectives talking more or less eclipses for a brief length. A solar eclipse per se does not effect the tides or cause tidal top. Tides rise and fall due to the combined effect of the moon and the sun and some rivers can experience tidal bores at undisputed times, usually rising and falling in intensity next to each investigational moon or full moon. A solar eclipse is just a few and far between case where on earth a new moon is aligned near the sun and the earth so that it "blots out" the sun within certain places on the Earth's surface.
