is there a cheaper alternative to solar screen?

My "guerrilla" solution was to use silver spray paint on the back of my pull down shades. Reflect it right wager on where it come from.....
I don't hold a clue if it would be cheaper........
but lowes and home depot do have pane tint that sticks right on. I get the sensation that it's suposed to be permanent. And it is deeply dark for the "force star" kind. It looked similar to it would be a pain to put on too.

You could probably get some curtains that would hold "some" of the roast out, but not like sunscreens. I hold them on the front of my house that faces west. They are great. We also hold them on some windows here at the church where on earth I work. It cuts down on the heat from west sun surrounded by the afternoons. They work great and last along time. I've have mine up for 4 years and the ones at the church have be up at least 6 years.
